Here are a few of the many organizations with which Alexandra's Cookie Dreams shares support. We donate 3% of all profits to support New York and Austin Public Schools through DonorsChoose, along with donating cookies and cookie gifts to a variety of charities.

DonorChoose.org © is an organization pioneered by teachers at a Bronx, New York public high school in 2000 who saw first-hand the scarcity of material in the public school classrooms. They created a nation-wide website as a forum for citizens to donate directed contributions that provide materials for out-lined projects in public schools.
Dear Alexandra's Cookie Dreams,
Thank you so much for funding my proposal, "Students Need the 'Write' Stuff." I teach 11th grade English to a great group of students. Most of our curriculum revolves around writing essays to prepare for the New York State Regents Exam. Providing pens and notebook paper to my student puts more focus on the work than on digging for supplies. I cannot begin to thank you enough for your generosity. While paper and pens may seem like simple supplies, they are perhaps the most valuable things in my classroom.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating the wonderful new puppet theatre to our kindergarten classroom! My 21 students are having a ball with it! And what they don't realize as they delight each other with retold stories and creative plays of their own invention, is that they are developing critical early literacy skills: building oral language, improving their listening skills, learning about plot, character, and sequencing.
We are joyfully making daily use of the puppet theatre. You have made a significant contribution to our classroom.
